INCLUDING PROJECT 1st Annual Workshop

Initially planned in physical presence and with a two-days format, the 1st Annual Workshop of the INCLUDING project will be held as an online event with a duration of two hours.

INCLUDING Project organizes in Athens (Greece) from 22 to 25 June two events:

• 22-23 June 2021 a multidisciplinary field exercise (joint action) dealing with counteracting an attempt to smuggle radioactive sources from the port. During the exercise it will be conducted extensive use of UAV / UGV technology, and it will be checked the interoperability of the tools shared in the Federation. It will be a full-scale exercise designed to establish a learning environment for participants to be trained in emergency response plans, policies and procedures in such situations.
• 24 to 25 June 2021 the 2nd Annual Workshop - "Nuclear Security in Maritime Infrastructure"  oragnized and hosted by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). Following the two days exercise at Piraeus Port Container Terminal, the workshop will put under the magnifying lens open issues in prevention, detection and response to Nuclear Security scenarios in maritime infrastructure and primarily in designated points of entry like ports.​

27 April 2022 On-line 

Training and exercise activities are key moments in the capacity building process of operators in the field of radiological and nuclear (RN) emergencies. They are multidimensional activities, which encompass planning, organization, execution, evaluation and integration of innovative technologies. Building upon the success of the 1st edition held in ENEA Frascati (Italy) on 27 January 2020, INCLUDING project organizes the 2nd Workshop on the Radiological and Nuclear Training Framework in the European Union. The objective is to assess the mid-term impact of project activities in strengthening the cooperation among Member States by including innovation in RN training and exercise activities.

3^rd INCLUDING Annual Workshop and 4^tH Joint Action in Budapest - 13^th – 15^th June | 2022.

The Centre of Energy Research (CER) in Budapest organized and hosted from 14^th  to 16^th June 2022 the 3^rd Annual Workshop and  the 4^th Joint Action of the INCLUDING project. The two events was devoted to a specific aspect in Nuclear Security and specifically the Radiological Crime Scene Management (RCSM). The choice of the subject is motivated by the fact that the Department of Nuclear Security of CER has a proven track record in research and innovation in RCSM and steadily organizes training and exercises activities for LEAs and others First Responders.
