(Innovative Cluster for Radiological and Nuclear Emergencies)
The EXADRONE Academy uses the internal infrastructure of the Brasimone Research Center.
COURSES ROOM: inside the ancient Villa Ruggeri with comfortable seats and multimedia direction for effective teaching.
Pilot training courses are planned according to the new EASA regulation for STS-01 and STA-02 drone scenarios, nuclear monitoring, photogrammetry, thermography and assembly of an open source drone. FLIGHT FIELD: over 1500 meters, it is inside the Center, adjacent to the heliport, in a safe area and equipped with a wooden structure with all the necessary equipment for training in APR piloting.
It is heated and equipped with electricity and wi-fi connection. There are 2 dedicated runways of 2km each for the BVLOS STS-02 flight.
FLEET OF DRONES AND SENSORS: the Academy has DJI matrix 600 and Inspire V2 drones equipped with high-resolution sensors for photogrammetry and thermography operations. Special sensors designed in the automation laboratory for in-flight nuclear range monitoring and ENEA's LiDAR LIF are available.
The vast tree-lined perimeter of the airfield, as well as the Brasimone lake overlooked by the Research Center, offers splendid opportunities for flying and video shooting with drones.
The Automation and Control Laboratory carries out research and development activities for the design of drones and mechatronics. Some projects and references in R&D projects on the exadrone.it site.
